Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Don Cline was saved in 1973 while serving in the Coast Guard in Coos Bay, Oregon. After leaving the service, he, Cookie and their two children served in churches in Stanwood, Seattle, Yakima, Sacramento and Phoenix. In 2002 they moved to Calgary, Alberta Canada for work, opening cinnamon roll bakeries throughout Canada, the Middle East, Mexico, South America and the Philippines.
In 2009, he was ordained while serving at the Olde Tyme Baptist Church in Calgary and served as Associate Pastor. In 2011 the Pastor of OTBC felt called to plant a church at Prince Edward Island, and Associate Pastor Cline became Pastor Cline. During his tenure at Olde Tyme he planted a church in South Calgary; Harvest International Baptist Church, and both churches began to grow.
In 2017 Pastor Don suffered a heart attack and he and Cookie decided to move back home to be near family. Their journey landed them in Kennewick, Washington where he served in the prison ministry out of Riverview Baptist Church. In 2019 Pastor David Brown of Yakima Bible Baptist Church, where Pastor Cline and his family served from 1980-1990 under the tutelage of his father, Dr. Dennis Brown, offered a job as Associate Pastor. So another move.
Then in 2021, Bible Baptist Church of Selah was without a Pastor and the Lord called Pastor Cline to Selah to be the Pastor. Another move.
Pastor Don and Cookie are blessed with two children, three grandchildren and one great grandson.
Pastor Don and Cookie would like to extend to you a personal invitation to attend one of our services and meet our fantastic people.
