The Bible Baptist Church of Selah, Wa. is an Independent Baptist Church.
We are located in Selah,Washington; just 2 1/2 miles North of Selah High School. Our church is easily accessible as you will see it on the hill as you travel up the Selah Loop Rd.
There are more than 15,000 independent Baptist churches in America and at least 10,000 independent Baptist missionaries serving on mission fields worldwide.
Every Independent Baptist Church is an autonomous congregation. We are self- governing and self-supporting.
As Independent Baptists, we do not belong to a convention and and are not "controlled" by any outside organization.
The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice.
We preach and teach it in a very practical way to help you in your everyday life.
At the Bible Baptist Church, we strive to follow the Great Commission the Lord has given to us: "to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature".
Our Wednesday Kings Kids Program reaches children through out the community as does our summer Vacation Bible school. We have summer camps for young people and retreats for men (in the fall) and ladies (in the Spring).
We have a very active missions program, supporting missionaries around the world. Our annual missions conference is October of, each year. At this conference, we raise money to support approximately 35-40 Independent Baptist missionary families around the world.
Our annual Soul Winning Conference is in March each year. This years dates are March 11-12-13, 2013.
Here, we try to encourage pastors and churches, as well as our own congregation, to reach our to their communities with the message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ.
Our "Key Note" speakers are: Evangelist Dr. Larry Clayton and Pastor's Greg Boyle and John Paisley
We preach the "Old Time" Gospel and are not ashamed of that fact. Our music is uplifting and touches the heart. We have no drums - no rock and roll - no contemporary music.
We use the King James Bible in all of our Bible classes and in the church services. Many have chose to use other versions. The KJV is the Word of God for English speaking peoples of today. The New KJV & NIV etc. are MIS-translations and therefore, we do not use "faulty" translations.
